Blood Lines

The Winton Hereford herd was established by John Taylor (I) with the purchase of cattle imported firstly by the Cressy Company which was established in the 1820s.

The current bloodlines at Winton retain straight Hereford lines.

Today

Annual drafts of calves are sold at the Autumn weaner sales, as well as some calves being grown out and sold directly to meat works, through quality assurance programs.

Angus and Wagyu bulls are also joined to Winton Hereford cows for calving ease and the excellent hybrid vigour attributes.
